The Emblem was originally an anchor.
It stems from the verse in Hebrew 6:19 “
which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both Sure and Stedfast.”


With the union of The Boys' Brigade and the Boys' Life Brigade in 1926, the red cross from the BLB's emblem was added to the anchor.
