THE BOYS' BRIGADE IN SINGAPORE
Patron: President of the Republic of Singapore

The Boys’ Brigade is the oldest uniformed youth organisation in the world,
founded in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1883 by Sir William Alexander Smith.
Mr James Milner Fraser brought the movement to Singapore in 1930.

BB Companies in Singapore are based in schools. Each Company is co-sponsored
by the school and a Church. The BB is an integrated part of the Co-Curricular
Activities in schools.

The aim of The Boys’ Brigade is the all-round development of Boys covering
the following aspects: Spiritual, Physical, Enrichment and Social. Over the
years, there has been strong emphasis on outdoor adventure activities,
leadership development, team building, and community involvement. Through our
various activities and training, we aim to mould our members to become useful
adult citizens with sound moral character. It is also our hope that they may be
led to the service of our Captain, Jesus Christ. The added dimension of spiritual
and moral development has helped to instill in members a sense of discipline and
service to the community.
